this is one of my many attempts at taking a Portrait shot, in this image is my little sister Stacy, she is beautiful and people tell me all the time that we look alike. i think i was successful in taking a portrait shot because in this picture it shows her as herself. i used the available light to my advantage but i feel like i made this picture to commercialized.
this is my 5 shot blur series. i choose to uses form and light to show what i wanted, and my inspiration was with skate boarding so all these images are supposed to be blurred and yet show what i wanted.
my dusk shot, i had to wait for the lamp post to light up for this shot. i didnt want to just have the emergency light , so i sat out in the cold and waited for this.
i chose Jackie as my subject for this project so she will be in the rest of my photos, this is my low contrast shot, i interrupted this as a more neutral shot, but it still high lights her features, and on a side note i adore her eyes in this shot! they are so alluring and they keep me interested in the frame.
its not as low key as i would have liked, but i feel it is acceptable for the desired assignment because i have the top of her fingers lite up with the rest of the images is covered in a light shadow.
Jackie strikes a pose for the camera as i attempt to get a backlight shot. its not as great as my natural light shot and i promise you i tried! But this is as good as i could get, which kind of depresses me. still jackie looks great and i am very good at making her look good.
