the damage doesn’t reach far but what left behind does.
my personal favorite, a close up on the ice and the lamp. the texture left behind is beautiful i had to go back this past weekend to get this shot (fed 6th-8th) i love how the lamp still lights up like this. i also have a shot in black and white but i like this one better. i may use this in one of my next assignments but i am working on something else for texture.
This lamp survived the fire and the water from the hoses (extreme!) it was the last lamp to actually turn on and when it did it was green. it that doesn’t say “We can get through this” then nothing will, or i need to hear more sayings. i love this shot its inspirational and i sat out in the cold just waiting for it (totally worth it)
this makes me think of chronicles of narnia…. yeah so lamp post. This shot is one of my favorites, the icicles form the fire hoses are so defined and add a mysterious beauty. And the yellow glow from the lamp itself gives off enough light to show the tragedy and create an erie glow.
the shot is kinda blurry (i was shivering it was a cold day) the damage after the fire, night shots
life is not fair all the time but we need to work through the unfortunate times, this is a shot of what was left after the fire.
this is what is left of the three stores on main in austin MN. the people who owned these buildings never deserved this but it still happened. we thank God that no one was hurt and we hope they can rebuild there lives and create new memories.
